SECOND HAND SEPTEMBER

Second hand September is a campaign launched by the charity Oxfam to stop people buying clothes for the whole month of September.

Currently almost 1.2 billion tonnes of carbon emissions are produced by the fashion industry and 11 million items of clothing are sent to landfill very week just by the UK alone.  This is partly due to clothing being produced on the other side of the world and imported to the UK.

Lets start thinking about what and how much we buy and try to choose more classic pieces that are not disposible and will not end up in landfill sites.
